The human-made “noctilucent” cloud Tuesday was both rare and spectacular, though visible for only a short period for early risers.

Early risers on the East Coast were treated to a uniquely bizarre sight Tuesday morning. Around 5:45 a.m., a jellyfish cloud appeared in the sky. It lingered until shortly after 6.
